Sometimes when you look at an artist's works, you find yourself absolutely lost to the possibility of such variety being attributed to one creator; but, here you have such a case, wherein a startling amount of change encompasses a period of slightly over ten years–here you have Mondrian. Still, Piet is best known for having been the major figure of the art movement known as De Stijl (or The Style or Neo-Plasticism)–shown above–, which may have reflected Mondrian's rather well-reported obsessive-compulsive neuroticism. Personally, I prefer his Fauvist period the most (The Mill in the Sun exemplifies this style). What about you?
