Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot (July 17, 1796 – February 22, 1875)

I cannot say enough about Corot. He is an absolutely magnificent painter and one of the most influential painters in history. And it's a shame that more people don't know of him. Besides being one of, if not the, foremost figures in the Realist movement, Corot's works presaged Impressionism, both in style and subject matter.
